The mission of the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada is: To be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.
The MS Society of Canada has been operating as a health charity for more than 60 years. People affected by MS have always been at the centre of our work and always will be.
What does this mean in terms of the CCSVI debate?
To us this means we strive to provide those affected with MS with hope for today and hope for tomorrow. Hope for today can be found in the supports and services that can help you right now.
Hope for today can also be found in the work we do with the federal and provincial governments in support of people affected by MS, including advocacy around CCSVI issues.
Hope for tomorrow comes from the many promising avenues of research seeking answers about the cause and cure of MS. CCSVI is one of those avenues and you can read about the CCSVI research that the MS Society is funding. You can read about other exciting research directions here.
